Hi my name is Nourenie and today I will be talking about what BnU is, what it has done for me, and why It is such an amazing program in our community.
BNU stands forBusiness Not As Usual, which is an Entrepreneur Institute that works to level the playing field between whites and African Americans when it comes to owning businesses. BNUEI teaches you to be your best self and to take your ideas to new heights. BNUEI staff understand that you don’t have a family business to inherit and encourage you to create one that your kids could one day take over.
BNUEI knows that there is not just one path to success and encourage you to think about your idea of success.
While being at BNUEI, I have learned many powerful business related words, acronyms, and business terminologies. I also had an opportunity to meet many of our community role models and through BNUEI, I was able to build a relationship.
BNUEI not only teaches you how to be the CEO of your own company, but they also teach you how to be a leader in your community, and how to give back to your community. They even help you with your resume. The list goes on.
Over all I had a great time at BNUEI and I enjoyed some amazing food and made a few long lasting relationships.
I have learned many life lessons that have help me changed how I live. All this would not have been possible without the help of the BNUEI staff and the generous donors who keep this non profit organization going. I was blessed to come to this program and be welcomed each day by such a giving staff.
Good evening Raja, I don’t know if you received my email from last night when Kevin came back from attending the Red Sox game with you and the other teens. It was sheer delight to see him so happy to have had such a great time with awesome people and experiencing his very first Red Sox game ever!
Like many teens, he has some social issues and getting him out of the house to socialize can be a bit of a challenge. He ran in my room with a huge smile on his face and exclaimed I love baseball! It was great mom! Then proceeded to share a video of one of the other teens eating his ice cream and they were all laughing and having fun!
Then I received some awesome photos of all of you at the game! All I can say is A million Thank you’s for all of your great work with our children.
We all know how hard it can be in raising children today and it takes a village as the African proverb says. It is quite evident that all of you in the Teen Entrepreneur program and its sponsors truly care for our teens and the community.
Thank you for blessing my family and I hope to hear from you all again soon. Your great works are encouraging and inspiring to so many, I’m certain. God Bless you.
Nancy
